Catalyzing TechVentures’ Massive Expansion

As president and chief executive officer of the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania for more than 19 years, Chad was the driving force behind the relocation and expansions of the two-time international award-winning Ben Franklin TechVentures® business/technology incubator, located on Lehigh University’s campus in Bethlehem.

Under Chad’s leadership, TechVentures grew three times, from 18,000 square feet to 129,000 square feet. Chad raised $16.4 million to fund these massive expansions.

 

 

 

 

 

Advancing Business Incubation

Chad advanced business incubation throughout Ben Franklin’s 21-county service area through the expansion of the Ben Franklin Business Incubator Network, which is among the largest such networks in the world. Chad describes Ben Franklin TechVentures and the business incubator in this video  (Since the video was created, there are now 13 members of the Ben Franklin Business Incubator Network and the return on investment for Ben Franklin statewide is now $3.90 for every $1.00 invested in the program.).
